With strong passion and honor, both Lindsay Arbaugh and Austin Arista perform together to keep their native roots alive and strong. Lindsay and Austin have been studying and singing in the Nisenan (sister tribe to the Konkow Maidu) language for over a decade. They hope to inspire others to learn about their own cultures through their heartfelt performances.
Lindsay Arbaugh is 29 years old and has been studying and singing in the Nisenan (sister tribe to the Konkow Maidu) language for 11 years. She is American Indian from the Konkow Maidu tribe in California. Linsay holds a strong passion for keeping her indigenous language alive and inspiring others to learn about their own cultures.
Austin Arista is Konkow Maidu from California. He has been practicing the Nisenan language for 11 years which is a cousin language to his people’s indigenous language. It’s been both an honor and a dream for Austin to be able to perform and learn the language so that he can keep his native roots strong and alive.
