Buskers

WHAT IS A BUSKER? Street performance or busking is the act of performing in public places for gratuities. Street performance is practiced all over the world by men, women and children and dates back to antiquity. People engaging in this practice are called street performers or buskers. – Wikipedia

WorldFest Buskers come in many varieties:

Solo artists playing original songs, duos & quartets playing jazz and Americana classics, the occasional a-cappella sing-along, and more. You’ll find them at the Festival entrance at Gate 1 and just outside the WorldFest Marketplace.

Accepting Applications for Busking

Buskers get free admission to WorldFest on the day(s) you play in exchange for 2-3 of sets of music. It’s a great way to welcome people into the festival and share your music. Times range between 10AM to 5PM and we’re looking for solo, duo, trio or a quartet size acts. Note we’re not able to accommodate full electric band style acts, think more semi-acoustic as would be the case with a street busking scene. We provide a basic stage, a small multi-channel amp with one mic and mic stand and electrical power.
