GOOD NEWS IS HERE: The 2021 WorldFest Day has officially been approved to be held in-person. You read that right! We will be presenting a celebration of world music on WorldFest Day on July 17 under the ponderosas at the Nevada County Fairgrounds.

 

 

What to know at a glance:

 

  • Capacity is strictly limited to abide by current COVID state guidelines and allow for safe physical distancing.
  • The audience will be seated in marked Pods that are distanced from each other by six feet on all sides with a maximum of four people per pod.
  • Masks required anytime outside of pod
  • Food and drinks only consumed in pod
  • Staggered arrival times for audience
  • Parking and concessions can be purchased online at time of ticket purchase
  • Only low profile chairs no higher than 28” allowed in the front section

TICKET HOLDER UPDATE

Current WorldFest ticket holders from 2020 get first dibs on a complimentary ticket to WorldFest Day. You will have three days to request your ticket by calling The Center for the Arts box office before they go onsale to the general public. Thank you for holding on to those festival passes. It’ll be worth it!

*NEW* World Music Program & Virtual Youth Choir

Students ages 5-12 will explore the music and cultures of India, Mali, & Greece. Starting on March 1, 2021, the 12-week program requires no previous musical experience and is free to kids and their families. There are no set class times to worry about – weekly activities are available on demand, so choose when you want to tune in to have fun!

We miss you. We miss music, we miss concerts, we miss our friends, and we know this announcement will break many hearts. Please know that we were hoping for better news but it seems that it is impossible- not safe- for us to plan a full four-day festival for thousands of attendees at this time.
